Red Hatters Have Talent...
They certainly do !!
September 17th saw the first ever "Red Hatters Have Talent" show , hosted by the Crimson Crazies. Invitations were sent out and 13 amazingly diverse acts from Auckland chapters were listed on the days programme.Everything from a comedy burlesque strip routine, to a Snake Charmer...from poems to monologues,a maori cultural routine, songs and we mustn't forget the Ventriloquist act.(with a live dummy ! ) The expected audience of 100 ,swelled to around 130 eager Red Hatters who thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment ,judging by the applause .Sinful Sandy ,Of the Crimson Crazies ,won First Place , The Vintage Violets were a well deserved second with their song /skit "Sweet Violets".And the Botany Babes came a very close Third with their great routine."My Favourite things ".
But you were all winners on the day.We thank all of you who were brave enough to take your place on stage to make this a very successful Show. It isn't easy to do such a thing.You are all Stars.And we suspect there are at least a couple of other chapters mulling over the idea of repeating this event...perhaps next year ! We will look forward to that . And Ladies.."Thanks for the memories"...
